We are unaware of any specific new plans for Whizins Center at this time but it is one of the City's 20 approved affordable housing sites.

 

We found this architect's rendering on the City's website but nothing else there indicates there are any specific plans currently in place to make changes to the center.

The information on the website does offer the fact that the site has a unit capacity of 167 units with 33 affordable. However, the General Plan provides the option of a "higher unit potential" for each site and for Site K, the higher unit potential is 250.  This is without possible Density Bonuses. Since there is no developer involved at this time, and no actual plan in place, there is no way to know what will actually be built at Whizins Center.
